Fully Funded PhD: School of Design and Creative Arts
Applications are invited for up to four fully-funded studentships in the School of Design and Creative Arts at Loughborough University. The School is looking for highly motivated and talented individuals who are keen to contribute to the School’s vibrant research culture.

The School of Design and Creative Arts offers a wide range of programmes. We are 2nd in the UK for Art and Design in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, and 2nd in the UK for Design and Crafts in the Guardian University Guide 2021. Please note that studentships will be awarded on a competitive basis to applicants. Funding decisions will not be confirmed until early 2021.
PROJECT DETAILS
In particular the School has identified the following priority areas: drawing and digital storytelling; public art and heritage; art, performance and societal challenges; smart textiles and wearable technology; safe and smart mobility; connected and automated driving; human factors and environmental interactions; technology use and complex adaptive systems; digital design and fabrication; design for shared ownership; designing meaningful experiences: emerging technologies, inclusive and responsible design. As part of your application, you need to indicate which priority area you are interested in and submit a 1-page synopsis about why this topic is important.
